From a closed-down Pirelli factory to the Blossom headquarters. What our offices were, and what they have become today.
On Via Milano in Seregno – in the productive Brianza area – behind the train station connecting the city to Lombardy’s capital, Milan, there is a building complex from the mid-1900s with long rows of sloping roofs and the typical traits of industrial architecture.
Today, this is the location of the Blossom headquarters.
But it was not always so.
This building was a Pirelli factory where, for years, hundreds of hard-working hands produced rubber for inflatable boats and outboards. A place of toil, sweat and, we like to imagine, life stories. When the industrial era ended, it was abandoned for twelve long years. All of that industriousness was succeeded by emptiness.
When we arrived, we found trash, broken glass and peeling walls. But there was also plentiful light and abundant space to create.
Some might have thought that an agency located in a place like this, not even in Milan, would be out of place, out of time and out of style.
But for Blossom, being out here has never been a problem.
Here, where everything once looked like ruins, we decided to build something beautiful, putting our mark on an area destined for decay, investing in suburbia, recovering instead of tearing down.
Today, this is Blossom’s home.
And our doors are always open for those who are ready to find beauty, even where others do not see it.
